Website hosting

This website is hosted through Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes connection information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Anonymous audience statistics with GoatCounter

We use the hosted GoatCounter service to understand how many people visit this website, which pages they visit and which websites refer them. GoatCounter does not use analytics cookies or advertising profiles.

The visitor’s browser requests a script from gc.zgo.at and sends analytics requests to noahhaasis.goatcounter.com. The service processes technical request information, including the IP address and browser information, to produce statistics. Statistics can include the page URL, referrer, approximate location, browser, device type and screen size. An IP address is not stored as a standalone field in the analytics statistics; technical processing is still required to serve requests and estimate unique visitors.

Our intended legal basis is a legitimate interest in understanding aggregate use and improving this free project (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use these statistics for advertising or cross-site profiling. You can block the GoatCounter script or its requests using your browser’s content-blocking tools.

External fonts on the landing page

The landing page currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google’s font servers, which receive your IP address and technical request information. This integration needs to be reviewed or replaced with locally hosted fonts before this privacy setup is considered complete. See Google’s privacy policy.

Release information and external links

The landing page requests current release information directly from api.github.com so download links point to recent releases. GitHub receives your IP address and technical request information. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing up-to-date downloads (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Following a download or other external link takes you to the relevant provider’s service, where its own privacy terms apply. See GitHub’s privacy statement.

Contact

If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a contract. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry or meet applicable legal obligations.
